Why a scientist runs a home care agency
I trained as a pharmacist and spent years as a research scientist. Both jobs reward the same habit: write down what actually happened, notice the small change early, and say something about it before it becomes the story.
When my own family needed help at home, that habit was what was missing. The care was well meant. Nobody was joining the days together. Small changes went unmentioned until they were no longer small.
Precision is a form of warmth. Paying attention is how you show someone they matter.

What that means in practice
One office, one owner
Lexington is the only office. The owner meets every family and knows every caregiver.
Caregivers are employees
W-2 employment, background checks, bonding and insurance are ours to carry, not yours.
Written, not remembered
Visits get written up. Changes get reported the same day. Plans get put on paper.
What we are, plainly
Non-medical home care
Kinstead provides non-medical home care. We do not provide skilled nursing or medical services, and we do not manage medications. Caregivers follow the schedule the doctor set, notice when something looks different, and report it the same day.
What we hold ourselves to

- A written plan before care starts, and no minimum contract
- Same-day reporting when something looks different
- An honest answer when a case needs more than we can safely do
